Philadelphia Trinity
  • Tread Material: Oak Bleached White
  • Stringer Type: Hidden (in wall)
  • Railing: V 02 (Extra-clear Glass)
  • Options: Closed Risers; Extra-thick Treads

Description

The Modì stairs were an important part of this compact 18th Century Bandbox remodel. The edges of the original deteriorating staircase could not move; the Modì stringer anchored to that wall, but remained hidden behind the newly plumbed sheetrock. The oak treads and risers have equal 2 3/8” thickness and make for an angular spiral. The second tread on this narrow flight extends to serve as an art platform. Stainless connections securely anchor treads-to-stringers and glass standoffs-to-treads: detailed craft is elevated to high design.
